| Administrative History | Henry James Coleridge D.D. (1822-1893) was educated at Eton and Trinity College Oxford, graduating B.A. in 1845. Although he took Anglican orders he converted to Catholicism in 1852 and after studying in Rome he was ordained priest in 1855. Two years later he joined the Jesuit novitiate. From 1865 to 1881 he was editor of the Month, periodical of the Jesuit fathers. One of his closest friends from his Oxford days was fellow Jesuit John Henry Newman who wrote many articles for the Month.
