| Administrative History | Mary Capper (1755-1845), Quaker minister was born in Rugeley Staffordshire, the daughter of William and Rebecca Capper. She became interested int the Quaker movement through the influence of her brothers Jasper and William and started to attend their meetings regularly despite parental objections. She travelled widely as a Quaker minister but settled in Birmingham where she made her home until her death. The Capper family were closely connected to the Cadbury family and in her latter years Mary was cared for by Richard Cadbury's family.
