| Description | A collection of drawings, etchings, watercolours by the artist, John Cameron, including numerous drawings and photographs of Marion Tattershall.
The collection includes three sketchbooks one of which is entitled Paris 1895-1899 and embossed with Cameron's initials. This contains many ink drawings of Parisian street scenes and a collection of informal group photographs of fellow artists and models. Enclosed in this volume is a copy of the marriage certificate of Marion Tattershall and Nicholas Faberge, the death certificate of Nicholas Faberge issued in Paris 1939 and a miscellaneous collection of newspaper and magazine cuttings relating to the Faberge family.
Another of the sketchbooks contains mainly pen and ink drawings, portraits and landscapes and the third contains mainly portraits of named individuals with dates between 1896 and 1921. The sitters include V. Gibbs 1902, Dolly Taylor 1902, W.H. Dawson, Gwendolen Jordan 1909, Diana Aird 1909, Ethel Telford 1914 and Gertrude Elliott 1921. There is also a loose page enclosed with a drawing of Louis Sargent's Studio St Ives, March 1913.
A further two folders contain various photographs, drawings and watercolours many of Marion Tattershall but also of Nicholas Faberge, Alfred Dunhill and one of John Cameron. These are often accompanied by notes by Marion Tattershall. |

| Administrative History | John J. Cameron, (fl 1895-1925) artist and illustrator. Marion Tattershall was famous for her beauty and was a sought after model for many artists including John Cameron to whom she became engaged. However, she met and married Nicholas Faberge the grandson of the Russian court jeweller, Carl Faberge. |
