Description
Letter written from 40, Prince's Garden's London, S. W. on 11 July 1902 about the seriousness of his father's injury. He says he is progressing well but it is very unlikely that he will be able to attend the town hall ceremony the following week. He states that his father needs complete rest and even the most important work of the Cabinet Office will have to wait. He says that the suggestion that his father could supply a speech which could be read out in his absence is out of the question is 'absolutely out of the question'.
