| Description | Official and personal photographs of Anthony Eden, and photographs of his family. Most are professional quality taken by the press or an official photographer. There are also a small number of postcards, prints, drawings, ambrotypes, photographic negatives and 35mm slides.
This series is divided into Sub-series by type. Sub-series' 1, 3 and 4 contain official photographs, as well as personal ones of Eden and his family. These are stored in different box sizes. Sub-series 2 contains antique photographs. Sub-series 5 contains photo albums, Sub-series 6 contains print material relating to particular photographs, while Sub-series' 7 and 8 contain photographic negatives and 35mm slides respectively. |
| Notes | 8 boxes in section AP/5 were originally listed by a volunteer in 1999. It appears he listed the loose photographs in a numerical sequence initially, but then went on to divide the photographs into sections A-E according to size for ease of storage. Section A being the smallest sized photographs, with section E containing the largest images. The numbers initially assigned however from the numerical sequence were still retained, so section AP/5 section A started with numbers 8, 12, 13, but numbers 1-7, 9-11 were in the other size sections.
This series was re-organised into its current 8 sub-series format in 2024. |
