DescriptionThis committee was established as a result of the British athletes dissatisfaction at the flaws in the management of the British team at the Melbourne Olympics in 1956. The committee had a purely advisory role with the aim of improving the relationship between athletes and British Amateur Athletic Board. Recommendations generated by the committee were to be made by the AAA and given final approval by the British Amateur Athletic Board.
