TitleLetter from Lawrence Alma-Tadema to George Henschel
Extent1 item
Date1894
DescriptionWritten from Hotel Victoria, Wiesbaden, dated 23 August. Alma-Tadema writes about his wife's medical treatment in Wiesbaden. He describes the town as very picturesque and says it looks like scenery: 'far from what we painters admire & love to see'. He writes about trouble with the post. He makes reference to his good friendship with the Henschels and reassures them that he was only joking that Mrs Henschel had hurt his feelings.
