TitleLetter from Lawrence Alma-Tadema to George Henschel
Extent1 item
Date1895
DescriptionWritten from 17 Grove End Road, St John's Wood, N.W., dated 22 January. Alma-Tadema returns a press-cutting with thanks. He questions Lenbach's [1836-1904, painter] claim that Count Schack [1815-1894, poet, literary historian, art collector] made a mistake about a painting, writing that Schach understood art and left his country 'the finest modern gallery of German art'.
