TitleLetter from Lawrence Alma-Tadema to George Henschel
Extent1 item
Date1903
DescriptionWritten from 34 Grove End Road, St John's Wood, N.W., dated 25 August. Alma-Tadema regrets that he cannot visit the Henschels because he will be busy painting in September and 'on duty' at the Royal Academy in October. In addition his wife will be returning next Monday and will want time at home to work on her painting, and his daughters and a guest are expected to arrive soon. He will therefore 'be deprived of the happiness of making the acquaintance of the Eldorado'.
