DescriptionLetter written from Townshend House addressed to Lady 'Travellen' which is undated. Alma-Tadema comments on the weather and explaining how the damp and mist causes problems to his breathing. He writes, 'I forced myself and went on the top of Primrose Hill there of course the air is brisker and better than below..' He closes by saying that he is looking forward to forthcoming visits to Berlin, Dresden and Holland where he will see friends and family 'and many other things' he hopes to '...return back strengthened for further labour'. The reverse side of this page is a partial section of a letter regarding the Holland trip signed by 'Sister Laura'.
