DescriptionLetter written from 34 Grove End Road addressed 'Dear Mr Fulleylove'' dated 13 July This is a fulsome letter of thanks for his 'book on Greece' and he makes reference to looking forward to a tour of Greece 'guided by you'.

This letter has been identified as being addressed to John Fulleylove (1845-1908), a landscape painter. The book that is referred to is 'Greece' written by J.A. McClymont and illustrated by John Fulleylove published in London by A. and C. Black in 1906; this presentation copy of the book was part of Alma-Tadema's library which was presented to the University in 1947 and is now held in Special Collections book collection. The original letter from Fullelove accompanying the gift was found inside the book and this has now been catalogued as ATLAdd/186
