DescriptionLetter written from 34 Grove End Road addressed 'Dear Sir' dated 26 October. The letter states that he is glad 'to secure a picture' of his which was to have been 'delivered at your exhibition today' but 'unfortunately at the last moment the proprietor' questioned the guarantee against fire and theft which Alma-Tadema cannot 'take upon' himself. Therefore, he has had 'to forego the pleasure of being represented on your walls'.

The letter gives full details about Mr Michod which read ' C. J. Michod Esq, sec to the United Arts Club'
