| Description | He is thankful that the rains have been moderate with no flooding as last year. The 'George' was sent to stop a 'slave trader' but was captured. Capt. Bones, at the orders of Governor Lieut. Col. Charles William Maxwell, with two armed ships recovered the 'George' and made compact with Mungo Hati that no vessel should go beyond his port if he would report all vessels calling there to the Governor. |
