DescriptionHe is gradually resuming work, though still weak. Renner came to marry him in Mar and Barneth died in Feb. Since Governor Columbine raised his salary to £300 p.a. and his wife has £50 for teaching, they have no need to draw upon CMS save for house-rent and £25 salary for Mrs. Nylander allowed by CMS. His Bullom studies have ceased as his teachers stopped lessons, but he will seek others.
Four slavers are in harbour as prizes, and 72 children, 8-12 years old, came on shore. 60 boys are in school, and 77 girls. There is still great need of prayer books, 'Watts' Psalms and Hymns' and spelling books [see 29]. Bibles have been distributed in S. L. and Bashia; he has few left and only 12 New Testaments.
