He heard in Aug from Bashia with Butscher's account of his promising journey inland. Mrs. Nylander has opened a night-school which 25 young women attend fairly regularly, using the books received. The rainy season caused many deaths including those of the Governor's wife and daughter. Columbine himself was dangerously ill. |
