TitleLetter from Wenzel to Secretary: 1 November 1810: Kakara
Extent1 doc.
Date1810
DescriptionHe recounts their financial position [see 42]. Less than £94 of the £396 13s 6d bill remained for Wenzel's use. Their living is most frugal and they have long lacked flour meat and rice besides wine. Wenzel received kind treatment and a promise of children for Mrs. Wenzel's school when he visited Munkye Bala on 23 Oct. More presents to headmen will be needed on his projected eastern journey. He is grateful for the books from CMS and B. F. B. S. He asks Pratt to use discretion before making public Wenzel's animadversions against Fantimani in his journal.
