| Description | He has visited Kakara and Bashia where Butscher's school prospers. With the demand for schools in Bramia and S. L. schoolmasters are badly needed. Only 1 of 3 recently sent by the African Institution is serving. The schoolmistress appointed by the Governor for the Colony is maintaining his wife's day-school. Nylander still suffers from chest trouble and would prefer direct missionary service to his Colonial duties [see 95]. Governor Columbine's leaving the Colony is regretted by all. |
