DescriptionThe Commodore of the West Indies convoy warned Capt. Graham of the 'Charles' of the dangers he would encounter from American privateers on leaving the convoy at Madeira. Butscher feels that they should have waited at Portsmouth for the 'Tweed' convoy direct to Rio Pongas.
