DescriptionHe hopes that the Bullom grammar and vocabulary with letters from the Rio Pongas, which were sent by the frigate 'Amelia', have arrived safely. He has almost finished the dwelling house. The people have welcomed him but are sunk in cruelty and the worship evil spirits.

He has heard of the shipwreck and Butscher's safe arrival. Two French frigates have taken several merchant ships and sent the crews to England. The indigenous residents seem to wish the slave trade to revive.
