| Title | Letter from Pratt to Butscher [copy]: 25 November 1814: London |
| Extent | 1 doc. |
| Date | 1814 |
| Description | Schulze's intended bride did not arrive from Berlin in time to catch the 'Wilding' at Deal but may do so at Plymouth. He learns from Butscher's letter that he has accepted Maxwell's offer of 100 acres, thereby anticipating CMS plans for a Christian Institution. A letter of thanks to Maxwell is enclosed. Pratt is meeting Lord Bathurst to request that rations for captured children be given to CMS if it takes charge of their education. He suggests that Bashia might merge with Canoffee and that Schulze might join Wenzel on Rio Pongas, if willing. He hopes that Mrs. Meisner may agree to stay on as a teacher. He asks Butscher to send a list of tools needed for cultivation of S. L. |
