| Description | The Sperrhackens may be coming to assist him. Copies of his Bullom translations are being sent with helpful notes by an experienced linguist. He will be pleased about the proposed Christian Institution and the churches at Bashia and Canoffee. Help is promised when he feels one can usefully be built among the Bulloms. Pratt thanks him for his methodical accounting which saves CMS much labour. Goods are sent to make up the deficiency which £5 per child allowance does not cover. Does he find this satisfactory or would he prefer an increased cash allowance. Pratt suggests cultivation by scholars to help in their support. Expenses incurred in research into language and customs can be charged as 'extras', and also the cost of a canoe, if helpful. Butscher has a consignment of Arabic and English bibles which he may take some of. Medicines are sent for the children's ailments. |
