DescriptionBy his sudden and unauthorised abandonment of a settlement Klein has broken a fundamental regulation of the Society. A "confidential friend" is being sent out to investigate and expenditure is to be strictly limited in the meantime. No decision can yet be taken about the Isles de Los but Pratt is doubtful as to the value of a settlement there. If the Kleins' own opinions are recalled, they said that it might be better to concentrate on children gathered together in the Colony away from their relatives. Perhaps Klein might be better employed assisting Wilhelm.
