On 21 Sep Mrs. Schulze died in childbirth and the following day the child also. He has talked and dined with MacCarthy who wishes that the missionaries would leave the country for S. L. MacCarthy turned down Mrs. Klein's request for working girls for the Isles de Los, refusing to allow any to leave the Colony.
Postscript: He was told by a post captain on the Isles de Los that Lewis Gomez was determined to follow a Christian life and was refusing his father's wish that he become a Roman Catholic.
