DescriptionIn Nov a vessel was taken with 500 slaves, 200 of whom died on route to Freetown, and others were terribly emaciated. About 150 of them were sent to Kissy. They are 'Ebes' and do not eat rice, but they fell upon every living creature from insects to fowl to satisfy their hunger. They also brought much sickness, to which Wenzel himself fell victim.
The Methodist, William Davies, has moved from Sierra Leone to Leopold.
