Title1 November 1816: London: Pratt to Butscher [copy]
Extent1 doc.
Date1816
DescriptionThe Committee did not bring charges against him but rather exonerated him from those brought by others. They defend Mrs. Johnson, whose ability he questioned and feel that in all Butscher is being too high and mighty.
Mrs. Jost's return to England was not justified. Neither was he right to send a native boy with her and no more natives are to be sent without permission. It is possible that economic problems may cause CMS to give up part of the Africa mission.
