DescriptionRenner reports malicious burning of a mission house at Canoffee, and Harrison's reneging to the slave trade and neglect of the school. Slaving continues. The Meeting resolved to await CMS direction before taking action, and empowered Renner to discharge or restrict Harrison.
Klein reported a favourable reception among the Susus of the Gambier district, but he needs a schoolmaster if he is to continue there.
Johnson reported many converts and much enthusiasm at Regents Town, and the formation of a Sick Benefit Society and a Building Society.
During reported interest and enquirers in Gloucester, and 97 adults and children in the schools.
Wenzel has been without help at Kiss[e]y since Brennand's death. Building of a stone church and houses will go on shortly.
Cates' evening school at Wilberforce now numbers 25 adults.
Nylander reported apathy and dwindling school attendance at Yongroo.
The Meeting resolved to form a S. L. Auxiliary CM Society, asking the Governor to become patron, with Garnon as treasurer and secretary.
