Butler, who is preparing for ordination and superintendance of the Christian Institution cannot sail before Christmas. A written and legally attested will of Butscher's supersedes his oral death-bed wishes. b) Decker: urges diligent study of English and prudence in relations with Black people. c) Johnson: warns against allowing converts to dwell upon the doctrines of election. d) Wenzel: gives statement of his account with CMS and cautions him to live within his means. e) Wilhelm: hopes that Susu orthography will be finally fixed. f) Cates: urges patient kindness in dealing with Black people. g) Nylander: promises continued support for the Bullom mission, and also for Gambier mission. |
