| Description | Following the Secretaries' instructions he closed the school at Kapparoo, retaining only Mary Sabb and John Gregg. While awaiting the Governor's visit his wife went to S. L. to try to sort out the confusion over goods CMS had sent him.
MacCarthy visited Isles de Los and agreed to build him a stone house. He is presently living in temporary quarters there and has a large congregation who await the building of facilities. Relations with the natives are mixed but he plans to provide eventually schoolhouses and teachers throughout the islands, of which MacCarthy has styled him "Rector". MacCarthy also appointed him a J. P. for the Isles de Los. |
