The Morgans embark tomorrow for England via Gambia. Gambia seems to have been misjudged for he has heard that it is a most healthy place with a population of over 1000 besides the garrison. The river Gambia is navigable for over 500 miles, and the settlement could well be the key to the interior of Africa. It would be good if a missionary, perhaps Morgan, were to settle there. |
