Description	Letter-books contain copies of outgoing correspondence from Secretaries at headquarters as Committee's representatives to missionaries (mainly the mission secretary) and others concerned with mission affairs. Until March 1853 letters could only be sent by the spring express and summer ships. No letters to Canada, therefore, were written between August and December 1821 and 1852.
