Description	Frederick son of Christian David, is visiting England under CMS auspices; lack of paper and binding materials for large edition of Singhalese Bible; cannot understand how Sir Alexander Johnston had support for his opinion that "the Scriptures are not to be made too common"; lack of other books will bring Singhalese to look at the Scriptures and the old version is unintelligible, the sentences being in the Dutch rather that the Singhalese idiom.
