Encloses 29; work at Agra progresses favourably and minister is now needed; encouraged by new facilities given to religious instruction by new charter; awaiting first bishop; rumour names Owen; dare not rejoice until his character is known; advises relating to salary of missionary at Agra, also method of training young men for work in India before ordination; offers to receive two or three into his own house, tuition will be free and board cheap; is sending son home to Little Shelford for health and education; hopes to receive him back as a worker
