DescriptionCorrie at his interview with the governor-general (Marquis of Hastings), was told that directions had been given to the agent at Benares for the payment of 252 sicca rupees 12 annas per month for the overplus expenses of Jay Narain's school; corrie presented to Committee a copy of 56; Daniel at Agra having left, Corrie had engaged John Crowley, a European of Chunar, as second master in the Agra school; Committee agreed to pay him 25 rupees per month; they ordered the reimbursement of Bowley's outlay on repairs at Chunar, and an addition of 15 rupees per month to his salary
