DescriptionDistance from Travancore makes it difficult to send supplies but hopes soon to print books and tracts in Madras and Travancore; need more information about type of books N. needs for schools etc.; urges necessity to ensure, after provision of printing press, that one copy of every tract is sent to Committee before it is printed, so that anything that might be thought locally objectionable can be corrected; will rejoice at press at Alleppie and two or three at Cottayam; mentioned this to the Major McDouall who "entreated we would require communication of every thing of the kind, previous to its circulation"; is sending a case of books to Mr. Bailey (listed in postscript) [copy].
