DescriptionThese conferences were subsidiary to the Corresponding Committee and consisted of meetings of all ordained missionaries in a particular area or district. As well as affording mutual encouragement in their work the aim of the meetings was to review the progress of the mission and to encourage local action and organisation that would lead to a self-supporting local church.
