| Arrangement | The documents were originally guarded into box files, but of these there remain only the board covers carrying the indexes. The documents are numbered by the clerk in red ink, office practice which was to be carried on into the mission books. The letters in E1 were originally filed with letters from other missions [see Sierra Leone catalogue C A1/E2] and bear numbers from that series. |
