Physical Description | The original papers [incoming O 1-100] were copied into the mission books, so that a legible copy was available for the use of the committee. From 1820 to 1826 the papers are numbered in the order in which they arrived at headquarters and entered in order in the volumes (though not all items are so entered). This numbering system continues until 1839, though items are not entered in order and often are not numbered. The numbers in the book correspond with the numbers, often in red ink, on the letters. |
