Administrative HistoryThe Training Colleges Governing Body replaced the Training Colleges Committee following the recommendations of the 1937 Special Committee on Recruiting, Selection and Training of Candidates. Its functions included deciding the subjects to be taught and the numbers of CMS and other students that could be accommodated. It also made recommendations to the Appointments Committee concerning the recruitment of College principals and appointed other teaching staff on the nomination of the principals. Source: G.
