Description/1: 16 September 1832: came to London for six months in 1829 with four of the first Rhenish Society missionaries (who went to South Africa), three French missionaries, several English ones and Dr Philip; is friend of Jetter; writes on behalf of Mrs Kruse who is very worried at not hearing from her husband who sailed on the 'Batavier' 4 September and promised to write from London on 6 September; their Society's missionary work at the Cape is progressing well; they have 12 missionary candidates in training.
/2: 1 December 1842: writes on behalf of Mrs Isenberg who knows very little English; she has had a daughter 15 October; her children have had measles and whooping cough.
/3: Letter written on behalf of Mrs Isenberg, 1 October 1843: the Rhenish Missionary Society has just celebrated its 25th anniversary.
