The group met at CM House primarily to consider ways in which its members could co-operate during the War; there was also some discussion of Federation. The first meeting was held in June 1940. Members were representatives of five evangelical missionary societies: CMS, 'Church Missions to Jews' (CMJ), Colonial and Continental Church Society (Col and Con), South American Missionary Society (SAMS) and Church of England Zenana Missionary Society (CEZMS). |
