Gobat, Jidda, 30 November 1829: the Dussap family have cared for him at Cairo; they left 20 October; there are a dozen Greek Christians at Suez; Ch. Aichinger was ill with fever after 8 days at Suez; they embarked 8 November and passed through Hemam Pharoun and Birket Pharoun; on 10 November arrived at Thor, 18 November at Yambo and 27 November at Jidda; staying with a Roman Catholic Christian from Damascus; have received good news from Abyssinia.
