Has unfortunately had to delay his London visit because of an attack of opthalmia; had heard from Gobat, in quarantine at Trieste, that he would arrive at Basel the beginning of Jul; he came last night and they now hope to leave 8 July and travel together arriving on 11th; the invitation to stay with Coates 'is most acceptable to all the feelings of my heart, if I am allowed to believe that dear Mrs Coates should not be molested in the ordinary way of her menage'. |
