Physical DescriptionThere is some mismatch between the chronological order in which letters are stitched into the volume and the numbers with which letters were originally annotated by the CMS clerk so it is important to use the Finding Number to locate items within the volume. Letters originally numbered 130 and 135 are filed with the Sierra Leone early correspondence (CMS/B/OMSC A1/E1/1-3); those numbered 74, 115, and 153? appear to be missing; the number 101 is used twice and there are some letters for which the original number is not visible.
