TitleLetter from Reverend Thomas Harper, Cross St, Newington, to Secretary
Extent1 item
Date1805
DescriptionDated 4 December. Protests against his replacement without any notice as teacher to the missionaries, as he fears this will be detrimental to his teaching reputation, and as he gave up his school to accept the CMS appointment. Annotated with note of Secretary's reply 10 December 1805: objections had been raised to the employment of a dissenting minister; CMS therefore took the opportunity of appointing an Anglican instructor; T.
