Description | Much concerning the Society's laws and regulations, changes in direction and administrative structure, CMS policy regarding the overseas churches and co-operative work with other missionary organisations, government and Church in the UK and overseas. Including references to different branches of CMS work and records of Commissions undertaken in the 1930s and 1940s which set out, and directed, the Society's policy in respect of many of the issues addressed in this series. The records give some indication of the impact on policy of the changing social, political and economic climate around the time of World War II and (far less) World War I. |
