pp 290-291 Punjab Government request for assistance from the Society's missionaries in implementing a plague inoculation programme. The Committee agreed to CMS missionaries using their moral influence to encourage inoculation but declined to lend medical missionaries to carry out the work because of the 'importance of avoiding the appearance of identifying the Mission with the Government', Committee of Correspondence 21 October 1902;
