S. missions' (3 pages) June 1908; questions circulated by the Special Committee on Mission Administration in the Field 1908; precis of replies to questions August and September 1908 including answers from missionaries in India, China, West Africa and Uganda and from Bishop Oluwole, Dr D. A. P. Datta, Rev[erend] D. K. Shinde and Rev[erend] P. G. Kawai; memoranda on missions and 'native' agencies 1908-1909 and a draft of the Committee's final memorandum. Also including a memorandum by F. B[aylis] on the question of separate episcopal oversight for people of different race in the same area with manuscript amendments and annotations; notes written by 'A member of the Executive Committee' (one manuscript and one typescript) [c 1908] and a printed paper entitled, 'Memorandum on Development of Church Organization in the Mission-Field' giving the Sub-Committee's recommendations 1909.

The Committee was appointed by the General Committee 14 January 1908 'to prepare a General Statement as to the means to be adopted for Mission Administration in the Field. The Sub-Committee's recommendations included the formation of 'some kind of united Body, comprising both missionaries and leading Native Christians ... which can take cognizance of all branches of the work'. It addressed issues raised in the report of Review Committee Section D.
