A. P. Datta, Rev[erend] D. K. Shinde and Rev[erend] P. G. Kawai; memoranda on missions and 'native' agencies 1908-1909 and a draft of the Committee's final memorandum. Also including a memorandum by F. B[aylis] on the question of separate episcopal oversight for people of different race in the same area with manuscript amendments and annotations; notes written by 'A member of the Executive Committee' (one manuscript and one typescript) [c 1908] and a printed paper entitled, 'Memorandum on Development of Church Organization in the Mission-Field' giving the Sub-Committee's recommendations 1909.
The Committee was appointed by the General Committee 14 January 1908 'to prepare a General Statement as to the means to be adopted for Mission Administration in the Field. The Sub-Committee's recommendations included the formation of 'some kind of united Body, comprising both missionaries and leading Native Christians ... which can take cognizance of all branches of the work'.
