| Description | When Bickersteth departed he had 245 boys at the school, 14 of whom have since died. The rainy season has been particularly hard on the girls, 35 of whom have died. He allows only English to be spoken in school. Superstition is still rife, including worship of 'Gregrees' (a ram's horn on a piece of cloth, sewn together). |
