TitleLetter from Renner to Pratt: 1 November 1815: Bashia
Extent1 doc.
Date1815
DescriptionThey have at last occupied the 10 new houses which are situated so as to avoid any general conflagration. Sickness in the rainy season has particularly taken the girls. MacCarthy has ordered that henceforth no child shall leave the Colony for the settlements - this may be his way of causing them to abandon the rivers. For Renner must have servants and cannot obtain them at Bashia. The gardening has gone well this year. He sends a bill for £170 in favour of Nicol, £100 being expended on the house and boat.
