DescriptionLetter of introduction for Thomas Norton and William Greenwood; suggests formation of auxiliary society in Ceylon [Sri Lanka], or a Church Missionary Association in connection with the Calcutta Auxiliary Society [Kolkata]; Norton and Greenwood have been placed under direction of Calcutta [Kolkata] for the present; 'Calcutta' Corresponding Committee is allowed £1000 per annum and its missionaries' salaries; if CM Associations were formed at Madras [Chennai], Bombay [Mumbai] and Ceylon [Sri Lanka], or alternatively auxiliary societies in direct correspondence with London this would give confidence to church members in England and something extensive would be done for India [copy].
